Oral histories used in the film were collected by Donbas Odyssey art project (Victor Zasypkin, Yulia Filipieva and Darya Tsymbalyuk) in 2015-2017, Darya Tsymbalyuk in 2019 and Yulia Kishenko & Vostok-Dom in 2018. The histories were told by Dalbuz Olha, Dziuba Hanna, Lisechko Mykola, Morhun Dmytro, Shliakhtin Yevgen, Tarabanova Svitlana, Titiyova Natalia, Vinokurova Olena and others.

Synopsis
A truck driver flees his home at night and the only things he takes with him are several houseplants. He then picks up passengers on his way, none of whom know each other, and yet they all happen to share the same affection to plants. As the journey continues, people exchange watermelon pieces and stories about the homes they left because of war.
Displaced Garden is a docufiction animation about human and non-human displacement that integrates documentary quotes from oral histories with internally displaced people from Donbas.
