We offer various stock service collections which eliminates the requirement for minimum order quantities. However we are also able to produce any customer’s own shades in all our qualities.

 LAMBSWOOL

Most of our Lambswool , is shipped from Australia, and comes from the Merino breed of sheep. Merinos’ have been specially bred to produce the softest and finest wool. Lambswool is wool from the first shearing of the animal.

We also have a new range of lambswool which is 100% sourced from Great Britain. The UK has over 60 breeds of sheep, all with different fibre lengths, textures and widths, so it took a while and many trials for us to find the right one to produce the best yarn for our customers. Using home grown wool  is a new challenge but as it greatly reduces our carbon footprint it is important we persevere while it also benefits local farmers and the environment.

WHY WOOL?

Wool can be recycled; it is compostable, biodegradable and naturally renewable, making it friendly to the environment. It makes a fabric that can breathe, is elastic, gives natural odour control, warms us when we are cold and cools us when we overheat. Wool is also naturally fire retardant. These qualities give wool a wide and diverse range of uses.

1/16NM AND   2/16NM GEELONGORA

RANGE: 80 STOCK SERVICE SHADES

The composition of this yarn is 75% lambswool and 25% angora. We use a shorter angora so that it doesn’t shed out from the garment. The lambswool gives durability and structure, whilst the angora gives an even greater softness and a silky feel. Fabric made of this product has a fluffy textured pile.

We use only the finest angora, and this is obtained within the caregora scheme. Caregora ensures complete traceability and only sources fibre from responsible rabbit breeders. The animals are treated with respect and the angora is gathered humanely by shearing. Caregora complies with very strict animal welfare codes, so customers can purchase geelongora safe in the knowledge that no rabbits were harmed in the process.

2/11NM BRITISH WOOL

RANGE: 20 STOCK SERVICE SHADES

After extensive trials we are proud to introduce our 2/11nm 100% British wool. We tested different types of British wool, from all over the country to find the correct breed and blend for us to produce the softest handle possible. Being a British company and using British wool makes sense.

This stock service range will be available in the summer of 2020.

2/31NM WHITE ROSE

RANGE: 80 STOCK SERVICE SHADES

The composition of this yarn is 54% cashmere and 46% cotton.

The cotton is the core of the yarn, giving great strength and durability, whilst the cashmere gives an amazing soft handle. It is difficult to tell the difference in handle from pure cashmere. Our range of shades is produced by twisting single cotton with 1/28nm cashmere, so bespoke colours are achievable.

Camel Hair

2/15.5 CAMEL HAIR
