Academia

To support the efficient and timely delivery of quality national security capabilities, RISC has academic links through the Academic RiSC and the Partnership for Conflict, Crime & Security Research (PaCCS) Research (formerly known as the Global Uncertainties Programme).

Academic RiSC was established in 2014 to encourage greater academic involvement in research that aims to solve challenges in national security. It is currently a network composed of over 60 UK universities. It is recognised by the Home Office, other government departments and by industry as an important conduit to expertise in this field and has been chaired to date by Imperial College London. Since September 2019 Academic RiSC has been led by Cranfield University, a specialist postgraduate university that is a global leader for education and transformational research in technology and management.
